Stormin, the pioneering grime and drum & bass MC has sadly passed away, following a two year battle with a form of skin cancer which he was diagnosed with two years ago.
The news was broken by DJ Phantasy, “So gutted to be typing this. My brother Stormin sadly passed away this morning. He battled til the very end. The strongest person I’ve ever known. I’ll always make sure no one ever forgets you my bruva.”
Across the board, tributes have been made to the artist, who was a core member of N.A.S.T.Y. crew and a much loved name across the world. More recently Stromin MC formed a part of drum & bass super group SASASAS, who won Best DnB Group at the 2016 Drum and Bass Awards, which saw Stormin also win Best Crowd Hype DnB MC.
His legacy is well rooted in grime, as along side the likes of Kano, Jammer, Footsie and D Double E, Stormin MC was one of the original members of N.A.S.T.Y. Crew and was heard regularly on the Monday night show of pirate station Deja Vu. Our thoughts are with Stormin’s friends and family at this difficult time.
