Cactus On The Roof is a tropical rooftop party originally birthed in London, UK by international DJ and musician, Cuppy. Inspired by the party spirit of Ibiza and the tropical sounds from Africa, Cactus creates an oasis for its attendees to dress up and let their hair down.
‘Tropical Horror’ Halloween edition was definitely the motive to be attending this halloween, as guests in attendance such as Krept & Konan and many other notable names approved of the festivities. The party saw a lineup full of the finest talents including Cuppy, Mercedes Benson and JULS amongst others who all came through with the highest of energy. Partnering with Martell Blue Swift Cognac for the first time this year, the tropical fuses with the legendary French house of Martell to deliver a seriously decadent experience.
Martell is and has been supporting Afrobeats in Lagos for a number of years, with previous and current ambassadors including Burna Boy and Mr Impossible. Martell also works closely with musicians in the US, including Quavo from Migos. In the UK, Martell is one of the main supporters of a growing Afrobeats wave. The blending of styles and energy of the scene, paying dues to its past and innovative in its future, match perfectly with the ethos of the House of Martell.
Throughout the party were many photoshoot ready spots, from the entrance to the cloak room and even the main venue; lighting, props and even the saxophonist on stage made this a night to remember.
With the help of Martell Blue Swift, a unique spirit made of the world’s first Martell Cognac VSOP, finished in Kentucky Bourbon casks this was all made possible. A unique taste to celebrating the House’s historic ties with the United States.
