READ: Love Island’s Kem meets Grime.

Love Island has had great success this year, with 2.6 million viewers at it’s peak time. Wherever you were, whoever you were talking to, Love Island would always be a topic of discussion. Although the show has a general demographic of teenagers, you would be surprised at the amount of attention this years contestants drew in from multiple grime artists.

Throughout the show; Kem, Marcel and Chris demonstrated their musical abilities as hairdresser, Kem Cetinay and country boy, Chris Hughes regularly performed some fire bars while Blazin’ Squad’s Marcel took a step back and produced their beats.

But, Kem took the spotlight and a lot of grime artists have took a liking towards his flow and lyricism. One artist in particular who has been eager to start the collaboration process is Stormzy. Although, currently touring Australia, Stormzy was keen to keep up to date with all the Love Island happenings, and even video called the villa, as he called Kem a “legend”. Ken has since took it upon himself to make the most of the opportunity, as he tweeted Stormzy straight after leaving the villa and Stormzy was very quick to reply.

Kem was straight on the job, as he then invited Stormzy to his home for food, a catch-up and then to get down to business.

We will definitely see a collaboration between these two sometime in the future.

However, Stormzy isn’t the only grime artist showing love towards to Kem, as AJ Tracey took to Twitter to show his interest of a future collaboration with the Love Island contestant.

With the continued support following the final of Love Island, and Kem being one half of the winning couple, it looks like he could have a very successful future within Grime, featuring on tracks with some legends in the game.
