At a time when music is being questioned of it’s important role in the community, Primequest Talent Show is here to prove that influential figures in the scene are willing to do what they can to give life-changing opportunities to talented members of the public in order to motivate them into choosing the right path in life.
Lotto Boyzz Records has come together with Spotlight Entertainment to give back to the city of Birmingham, that is best known for the talents of Mist, Lotto Boyz and many other successful artists. Cooperatively, the two are launching one of the most relevant talent shows to come out of the UK underground.
The confirmed judges aren’t your usual Simon Cowells or Louis Walshes who don’t know about the urban scene, instead they have gathered some real tastemakers and influencers including BBC R1Xtra presenter and icon DJ Target, chart-topping UK garage, grime and hip hop legend Lisa Maffia and MOBO nominated, former Lotto Boyzz manager and CEO of Lotto Boyzz Records, Mafdotyou.
With such a special panel of judges you would expect an extra special prize, surely? Yes, the prize is a phenomenal £10,000 in cash as well as a production, record or career enhancement deal worth £25,000.
The Boot Camp, following the initial cut, will be held at the Blue Orange Theatre between 7-10th May. Tickets to attend the live semi-finals on 1st June and live red-carpet finals 8th June at the Crescent Theatre, Birmingham, are available on the Prime Quest website from March.
This is not one to be missed with numerous special-guest performances set to take place during the finals as well as this being the perfect way to highlight the importance of community engagement – just what the scene is missing at this moment in time.
