After speculation and teasers it looks like Dizzee Rascal is going to be dropping a grimey new album. Dizzee debuted the first single from the upcoming his “loud, rap-based album” Raskit in the form of a track called “Space”. It’s sees Dizzee moving away from the more pop based feel of his last couple of albums and back into a style Boy in the Corner fans will be more familiar with.

Along with this single Dizzee released tour dates for an upcoming UK tour starting in October. Dizzee will be hitting all the larger cities and performing mostly in O2 Academy venues with the London date, 12th October, being held in the O2 Academy Brixton. Now a seasoned performer, it will be interesting to see how the event differs from your average grime show. For example, will the tour feature a strong showing from Dizzee’s more pop based followers or is the grime scene going to claim the tour for themselves?

Raskit is a 16 track album set for release on July 21st with all preorders giving you access to the tour presale on Tuesday with general access opening on Thursday. With no features announced yet and a rumoured Wiley diss track featured the whole scene will definitely be waiting for this to drop and plenty of comparisons to Boy in the Corner will be made. He definitely has a hard task returning to Grime after so long, after seeing other names like Chip being successful in doing so, will Dizzee have the same luck?

Space is available to purchase and stream on major music outlets and also is made available when preordering the album, give it a listen and tell us what you think.
