‘The Grime Game’ set to hit UK TV

Hailed from The Rap Game in America, where rappers battle it out for the prize of recording with none other than Dupri’s So So Def Recordings, The Grime Game is set to air in the UK.

With the Rap Game now in it’s 5th season on air, it’s now the UK’s turn to impress. Showcasing up and coming talent in the scene (which we’re all about), the show will highlight the best players of the new generation with a sick recording deal up for grabs.

The show will be broadcasted as documentary styled films, giving the viewer inside access to the MC’s journey. Here’s a little more background on the process of the show from the producers:

“Joined by their managers in a residential recording studio, the musicians – each of whom already has a major following online – must spin their own life stories into hooks and bars, trying to catch the attention of Grime’s biggest and most influential stars in the process.”

The Grime Game already has some big names attached as contributors and as a fan of the genre, you definitely don’t want to miss this!

Naked Entertainment’s Director of Development Tom O’Brien said:

“Chart topping. Brit award winning. And spun from young people’s real-life stories. Grime is one of the UK’s most important – and also lucrative – musical movements. Now is a great time to celebrate it, by profiling the next generation of hungry performers.”

“A+E Networks is delighted to partner with the incredible team at Naked Entertainment on The Grime Game,” added Robyn Hurd, Vice President, Content Sales, EMEA, A+E Networks. “With several recent wins under our belt, the formats division continues to broaden the global reach of our IP, and it wouldn’t be possible without stellar production partners such as Naked. The Rap Game has proven to be life-changing in the U.S. for young musicians looking to take their careers to the next level. We’re confident The Grime Game will work similar magic on the U.K. music scene.”
