Bugzy Malone is becoming a Parklife regular now, but it’s taking place in his home town, he is one of Manchester’s most successful music exports and every year he comes with something new so if he’s on the line up your never losing.
What can we say about West London MC Aj Tracey that hasn’t been said already. He is one of the leading artists in the grime scene and although he’s begun to diversify his sound he still has a collection of solid bangers to shell off the dance.
Ghetts formerly Ghetto, is another artist key to the Grime scene. Who can forget his classic Risky Roadz freestyle or his work with The Movement. More recently he did a sick EP with producer Rude Kid including the massive One Take Riddim and Banger after Banger. He also has a track with Stefflon Don – Slum dog millionaire. With the amount of hits in his discography his set is guaranteed to be a madness.
LEVELZ are a corner stone of the Manchester scene with a diverse sound including grime, hip-hop and dubstep. They also won the last Red Bull soundclash when they came to Manchester. This exciting collective of DJs and MCs are sure to light up their set and get the crowd moshing. Tip: Don’t wear your best trainers.
He needs no introduction. One of the biggest Djs in the UK urban scene and a music cv that stretches back before most of our readers were born. Originally part of the Roll Deep grime crew he has forged a successful career as a Dj, Tastemaker, Journalist and now writer. Every year he’s a regular on the festival circuit and no matter how many times we see him we never get tired.
Skepta is Grime. It’s hard to think of an artist who has done more to take the sound world wide and bring mainstream attention to the Grime scene. A founder of the grime collective Boy Better know along with his brother JME, he has consistently delivered grime hits for over a decade, including the massive Shutdown and That’s Not Me. He also has the Drake co sign and featured on his Morelife album. Expect plenty shellings and suprise guests. Do not miss his set.
